Mr. Cunningham works on a kidney canteen, repairing holes for a re-enactor whose leaky canteen had pinholes in the bottom. Although Mr. Cunningham did not manufacture it, he happily repaired it, without charge, for the fairgoer.
 
In the foreground, a fire pot is hot and lets out smoke, keeping the solder at the tinner's ready. This photo is the result of a much-watched process...so much so, that children were promised a photo of it on the internet so they could see the finished product. To the right of the fire pot is a small pierced lantern.
